Rajeev Charak warns JDA to stop commercialization of Green Zones

Jammu, Jan  5 :  BJP leader Rajeev Charak on Thursday expressed anguish over Jammu Development Authority move to auction land of the community hall located in Mohalla Goswami of New JDA Colony, Bahu Fort, Jammu.

Charak informed that a delegation of people met him and appraised that JDA is going to auction the green Zone land for commercial propose.

People said that wherever a colony is built, green strip i.e. park and playground facility for children is provided, but in this colony, there is neither a playground nor a green strip, a community hall was built here, its work has also not been completed and we are all shocked after receiving the information that the land adjacent to it has been sold by the Jammu Development Authority.

They alleged that Jammu Development Authority is not keeping in mind the public facilities but the area is being exploited for commercial reasons which will not be acceptable to us at all.

BJP leader Rajeev Charak listened to their problem carefully. He said that it has been directed by the Supreme Court of India that a green zone should be created in every colony to keep the environment pure.

Warning the Jammu Development Authority, Charak said that commercialization of green strip or green zone will not be allowed.

He met the officials of Jammu Development Authority and informed them about the problems faced by the people of New JDA Colony, Bahu Fort.
