JAMMU, February 15: Involving a record 250 young judokas, a three-day long J&K UT Mini Sub-Junior boys and girls Judo (under-11 years) Championship got underway today at Sacred Heart College, Paloura, here.
Udhay Bhanu Chib, president Shastri Judo Club was the chief guest while Vikas Gupta, senior vice president of Judo Association Jammu and Kashmir and Heema Chib were guests of honour.
The first day of the competition dominated by the participants from Ankur Play Way School BSF Paloura, who excelled in different weight categories, reports reaching here informed.
The opening function was attended besides others by Suraj Sharma, Manish Chatwal (both from Judo Association) and Avinash Sharma. The bouts officiated by the technical penal including Manya Chib, Palak Sharma, Sanha Sharma and Priya Sharma under the guidance of tournament director, Rameshwar Singh.
This championship is being held under the banner of Judo Association J&K.
