J&K Taekwondo Champ concludes



Jammu Tawi, Feb 16: Two-day 26th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships held at Indoor Sports Complex, Bhagwati Nagar, here under My Youth My Pride initiative of the J&K Sports Council (JKSC).

In the prize distribution ceremony Administrative Officer of the JKSC, Riaz Ahmed was chief guest, who witnessed the final bouts and encouraged the participants and the organisers as well. 

Ritika Salathia (Senior Judo coach and Manager, JKSC) and Ashok Kumar (Para Indian Taekwondo Coach) were special guests. Naveen Sudan (Activity Incharge, JKSC), Priyanka Singh and Chandeep Singh (International para athlete) were among those prominent present. Meanwhile, a handout issued by the Association claimed that medal winners in Cadet and Junior girls age groups shall represent J&K in the upcoming Phase 2 of 1st Khelo India Women’s Taekwondo League 2023-24 slated to be held from February 21 in Uttar Pradesh.

Later, Burhan Ud Din Khan presented vote of thanks on behalf of the J&K Taekwondo Association.
