Semis line up drawn in Reasi Volleyball tourney

 

REASI, March 10: Semifinals position has been cleared with top four teams from the league round qualifying for the last four knockout stages in the two-day District Reasi Volleyball Championship, organised by Reasi District Volleyball  Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at General Zorawar Singh Stadium, here.

Now, in the semifinals, slated for tomorrow, Arnas Club shall take on Bakal Club while Mamma Club has been pitted against Sajroo Club.

Earlier, the event was declared open by Iftiqar Ahemed Qureshi, Additional SP Reasi. He interacted with the participating teams. In total, 12 teams drawn from Sajroo, Bhomag, Arnas, Kanjali,Jjudda, Bakal  and Dharmari  turned up for the annual event, a handout issued by the Association here today informed.

The chief guest recalled the contributions of outstanding volleyball players of J&K, Saqlain Tariq and Mannat Choudhary.

Among others present were Kuldeep Magotra (CEO), VK Magotra (general secretary) and Akbar Ali (secretary) and Yash Paul.

Today’s matches officiated by the technical penal including Manjyot Singh, Jamrot and Karan Rajput.
