JAMMU, January 23: The J&K Kalarippayattu team today left for participation in the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) scheduled to be held at Trichy in Tamil Nadu from January 27 to January 29.
Earlier, the
qualified team, selected by the J&K Kalarippayattu Association, was cleared
by the J&K Sports Council (JKSC) with financial and related support
following the guidelines of the Sports Authority of India (SIA), the organiser
of the Khelo India Youth Games.
The Team: Tarun
Gupta, Rudra Bakshi, Jaideep Manhas, Saksham Langeh, Danish Ali Bhat, Vinayak
Gupta, Chirag Puri, Mir Mujtaba Nazir, Dua Mukhtar and Aqsa Farid.
The team
accompanied by Danish Sharma as and Arshad Aziz as as coach and manager
respectively, a handout issued by the Association here today mentioned.
Among others
present were president of the Association, Lalit K Gupta; Sahil Sharma and
Tajamul Ahmed Khan, both members.
