JAMMU, February 27: Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), a week-long residential Refresher Course of district Jammu got underway at Youth Hostel Nagrota, near here today.
The target
participants for this course include selected Physical Education Masters
(PEMs), Physical Education Teachers (PETs) and Rehbar-e-Khel (ReK) from 14
zones of district Jammu.
Being held
under the overall supervision of district (DYSS) officer, Jammu, Sukhdev Raj
Sharma, the event aimed at learning changing trends in the world of sports in
terms of training and skill development among the school going students.
The penal of
qualified resource persons from the department shall take different sessions in
this refresher course. The Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO) Gandhi Nagar,
ZPEO Dansal and Chamel Singh (PEM) were among those present in today’s opening
session.
The penal of
trainers included Vrinder Sharma, Naresh Kumar (Volleyball), Bandana Sharma, Sanjeet
Kumar, Ajay Wadera (both Kabaddi), Ravinder Singh Bali, Vishal Malhotra (both Kho-Kho),
Chamel Singh (Morning Assembly and Mass PT), Raman Sharma (Judo).
